a quiet Saturday in pictures

Today we have a quiet Saturday. That means no extra children running around, no hockey tournaments, no big projects on the go, just a normal everyday quiet Saturday. The girls have already been to the barn to clean the horse stalls, cleaned up their rooms and vacuumed, we’ve made a quick trip to the village to pick up a short list of groceries, and now we are taking a break. There is a hockey practice this afternoon, but that is a quick in and out and we will all be back around the dinner table together and make time for a movie and some popcorn afterwards.

You've got to love 10 year olds that are willing to make lunch. It might be just Kraft dinner, but it's a start.

We’re doing much the same thing here. After a busy week (and another busy week to come) this is a much needed respite. Enjoy your evening!

  2. It is nice to have a bit of a chill out day, we have been in and out all day so I am looking forward to a quieter day tomorrow. Hope you have a nice evening.

  3. Very intimate pics, Heidi. That would be a lovely day.

I can feel your contentment… and love the feeling of peace in these pics of your beautiful home!

  5. Sounds like you have ventured out a bit… It’s nice to see pictures of your ‘girls’ … they’ve changed so much … growing up!… Diane

  6. A quiet day at home – my idea of heaven!

  7. All of these lovely quiet moments are ones that your children will look back upon (as an adult) and crave that quiet time again. What a gift!

  8. I love kraft mac and cheese even still, it’s like childhood. Those girls are great helpers and congrats to your Men’s hockey team in the Olympics!!

    • The whole house was up early to watch it before heading off to the big kid’s hockey game.

Kraft dinner kept me fed through the university years, but I’m happy to give it a miss now. I think I’ve had my lifetime limit.

So, what do you think?
