happy labour day

the view from our front window

The last day of summer holidays for us. We’ll be spending the day baking cookies for school lunch pails, cleaning stalls and hanging out on the back deck. Enjoy your day, if you have it off.

  1. I am apparently going to a dog show because my spouse wants to admire the corgis!

I see some color in the hills, the grasses are going brown, the season is changing. But what a beautiful view to live with whatever the season. I’m jealous!

Love the view. We are holidaying on your side of the world. Currently in Cape Elizabeth, ME and about to go to Bar Harbor – cruising along the coast.

  4. Kathryn says:

What an absolutely gorgeous view! It must be wonderful to wake up to that every morning. I felt more calm just *looking* at your view!

  5. Happy Labour Day – I will be baking cookies – albeit with help from the Pillsbury Doughboy and I am trying to get out of my newspaper deadline for writing up council news–and am just waiting to hear back –cross your fingers and enjoy today

  6. working and waiting on more storms from Isaac!

  7. I agree what a beautiful view. I’ve only lived away from water a few times in my life, but it was like a shock to my system. Not really working today, now that my kids are moved into their new home I’m hoping for some me time, first up is cleaning my home and finishing a chair for their new home I just haven’t had time to get to. Enjoy your day.

Happy, happy Labor Day to you too Heidi! Thank you for the glorious view. Wow!

  11. I love the view, you are so lucky. I live in a city and all I can see is other houses!
My girls went back to school last week. I feel so empty and sad when they go back (though I don’t let them know that).

In love with your view and views! Breathtaking scenery!

  13. What a view! I’m lucky enough to have a nice view of parkland out my door, but nothing like that breathtaking lake view.

So, what do you think?
