This one was a favourite at Christmas. It is actually an adaptation of a recipe for candy cane bath salts that I saw on Pinterest.
Make these up, package in a nice glass jar and attach a scoop with a ribbon and you have a thoughtful but easy gift.
I’m making up a batch for myself right now because of cold season. I love the eucalyptus scent.
Eucalyptus Bath Salts
- 2 cups epsom salts
- ½ cup sea salt
- 15 drops eucalyptus essential oil
- 2 -3 drops green food coloring
Mix all ingredients well, breaking up any bits that stick together because of the food colouring and oil. Store in a covered container. Use 1/3 cup of salts in a full tub of water.
Hi Heidi – from another Heidi 🙂 we both commented on a post on Budgeting w/ the Bushmans and here I am 🙂 you have some great ideas here – looking forward to more great posts! 🙂 I actually bought eucalyptus oil just a few weeks ago because my nose is stuffed up and it’s supposed to help with that (it does… but only if you sit over a pot of steamy water with the oil in and breathe it in for hours hahaha!) Heidi (in Greece)
It works great in a steamy hot bath too. Tried it last night. Thanks for your comment!
